Google Books - Wow!
I’m always on the lookout for quick and easy research that will give me a crash course on a topic. Research doesn’t scare me…but some topics you need to know about before you can even know what questions to ask! That’s why I was so excited to find Google Books. I’m sure to some of you, this is old hat, but this site really opened my eyes.
Located at books.google.com, Google books is searchable database of everything from book previews to complete books that you can view online. The complete books are public domain works, which were initally published in the first half of the 20th century or before that time.
I was able to educate myself on the history of lawn care without having to bounce around the ‘net. What a time saver!
Don’t ask me why, but it never occurred to me to use Google books for research. For some reason, I always looked at it as a fiction resource, so thanks for this tip!
I’m a sucker for buying books (new & old). Sometimes I buy something and wish I’d never spent the money! I discovered Google Books once while I was looking up a particular book… It’s pretty awesome!
